Once outside Hesh spun around, his pale skin cast in the orange glow of the streetlights. Liam sighed, leaning against the railing.
"You're an ass, do you know that?" Hesh spat, Liam raised an eyebrow while folding his arms,
"What else could I have done?" He asked, Hesh looked around wildly,
"Oh, I don't know", he started sarcastically, "You could have not told her." Liam looked back at the house, the warm lights seemed further than only a few feet away.
"You should have told her months ago." He muttered,
"Mind your own business." Hesh's voice cracked, Liam's eyes narrowed,
"It is my business, if you haven't forgotten. It's just as much my problem as it is yours." Hesh sighed, starring distantly at Meredith's golden hair through the screen door as she cleaned up the kitchen,
" ... what she must think of me now", he bit his lip. Liam laughed faintly, looking up at the stars,
"Well, she took it as well as anyone could have hoped." He closed his eyes, Hesh snorted,
"Yeah. It'll never be the same." Liam opened one eye, gazing at his best friend intently,
"I wouldn't say that just yet." Hesh looked skeptically at Liam as silence enveloped them.

He was sleeping now on her white duvet cover. She threw herself on the bed beside him, face down with her arms hanging over the edge. After a long moment she lifted up her head to examine the cut on her hand. Sighing, she traced the edges of the torn skin with her fingertips. Suddenly his hand passed over hers, she looked over and their eyes met for a second before he lowered his,
       "I'm sorry" he murmured,
"It's fine, how are you feeling?" she asked, he hid a smile, lowering his head into the blanket,
"I'm alright". He looked incredibly peaceful, bathed in the soft golden evening light that was pouring through the window. The white dress shirt she had put on him fitted loosely over his pale skin and the baggy tan cargo pants were so long they covered half of his bare feet. His black hair rested softly under the golden rays of light as his blue eyes avoided hers.

Streetlights were flying by when she woke up. Hesh was driving through the warm silence, eyes set on the road, his white knuckles firmly gripping the steering wheel. He was wearing his jeans and sweater again. His black hair hung handsomely over his pale face, but his expression was set; disgust. Meredith sniffed quietly, he looked over and his mouth open for a few seconds,
"How are you feeling?" he asked softly,
"Better" she whispered, he nodded, looking back to the road for a second,
"We're still hours away, I'm heading to the lake instead so we can sleep ... we'll head home tomorrow?" he asked uncertainly, she nodded quietly. He bit his lip, closing his eyes.

--(later)--

Hesh paused at the doorway before knocking lightly,
       "Come in" came her voice,
"Hey" he said, smiling gently as he entered "I stopped at a store while you were sleeping," he paused while holding out a water bottle,
"Thanks" she murmured, taking it. He had changed into a black t-shirt and dark grey sweatpants, now barefoot, with his black hair more ruffled. He sat timidly at the edge of the bed crossing his hands awkwardly.
"Listen ..." he started quietly, "are you okay",
"Yeah," she touched her side, "it'll just bruise." Hesh closed his eyes,
"Good," he had meant emotionally. Meredith stretched out,
"So you and Liam grew up here?"
"Yeah, this is the town" he laughed softly.
Try not to laugh~

These are just snippets from my story. The first is about Hesh and Liam, and the rest are Hesh and Meredith.

I thought it was good, very autumn feeling. You have very realistic and thought out characters. The only thing is some of your punctuation is off and makes reading it a little confusing. Other than that I thought it was really good. I liked when Hesh asked if she was okay and when she answered you had how he'd meant emotionally instead of physically. A nice touch.
